painted stock rims

I have an silver 02 dakota sxt with the 16 in alloys. I want to paint them black, but i want to see what they look like black before i commit to it. I have looked all over but cant find any pictures. any pics or links to a thread where i can find a pic would be greatly appreciated.

.Black with machined lip..I like that machined lip.

.If you do paint them black, you should also do the machine lip. Pictures say a 1000 words here.

No the wheels were on the truck when I bought it.
I'm pretty sure they are factory motorsport wheels like these

.how did you mask around lip? tape? which paint did you use?

.Instead of using tape you could probably take petroleum jelly(make sure you put it back in the bedroom) and coat the lip. Just wipe off when done.

.ya i just taped it off.... clear coat made it shiny
