Another 1st Timer at the Strip.

Well, I decided to take a stroll down to Portland International Raceway for the late night drags.
My truck is a 95 CC 4x4, 3.55s, 5.2 and 5 speed manual.
Current mods are M1, 3quot; cat/3quot; Aero Turbine muffler, 50mm throttle body.
I was hoping for high 15s/low 16s... But my peg leg was killing me, I need to get a locker ASAP. It was REALLY tempting to throw it in 4hi...
My times are as follows in order of my runs

1/4 ET/MPH
16.525@85.1

16.523@83.4                                   .

16.530@82.7

16.765@83.9

The last run was significantly slower because I missed my 2-3 shift, Hurst is in the mail as I type...Anyways, I had fun, thought I'd share.

.You gotta loose some weight and get a tune goin...Loose the cat, get some headers..port match your intake/heads and you will be closer to the low 14s just from that.

.my best 1/8 mile was a 10.3 while stock, also with a peg leg, but 2wd and auto. that 3rd pedal probly makes traction a lil bit more difficult.

.Well I went again last night. The HS 1.7s and Mopar PCM were the only mods since last time. Ran a still disappointing 16.2 @ 86MPH with a HARD launch in 4wd.

Crappy cell phone video, but you can hear me chirp 3rd .what was your 60' in 4wd?

.Only a 2.2..

.were you spinning out of the hole still? Maybe you could benefit from more performance oriented tires. If you werent spinning, maybe you need to launch at a higher RPM

having said that, a 2.2 60' isnt really all that bad with mud tires.

.They're more of an all terrain. If I did spin it was only a chirp. I launched at 2k and it was fairly violent.
