New Shirt Idea??? Attention David...

Hey folks, I know the last shirt idea fizzled, but that was a nice design.  I am investigating light polos.  My dad just had his car club shirts done and the lady is willing to give us a nice price, based of course on artwork and such.

These would be embroidered, not iron ons..

I was thinking something like a slogan on the left breast:

SHIFT_SR20
SHIFT_SpecV
SHIFT_SE-R
SHIFT_B15    Something like those...Feel free to come up with something else..

But then have a graphic on the back with the WWW. logo above or below the graphic..

So to quote David, quot;Get out your crayons...quot;  If i can show her some artwork as a sample, she will get me a firm quote, but its looking like possibly $25-34.00 plus shipping.

Again these will be Embroidered, not iron ons.  And of course, David has FINAL say on design and even IF this will happen.  David doesnt have to do any of the work on this, so it may be easier with his schedule and they might happen this time.

So lets get drawing...EDIT:  Just checked with the owner, and she misquoted me at first. Thanks MTorsani for making me question her.  We could get the website address embroidered across the shoulders and a silkscreen logo on the back, or silkscreen the whole back.

Full embroidery would be in her words quot;A LOT of thread..I'm sorry i didnt think you meant that..quot;  So if anyone is still interested, ebroidered breast and silkscreened back.  And i was also corrected... GOLF shirts, not polo...  Thats the diff?? lt;flamesuit ongt; Sorry guys, but I'm still interested..

.Logos on the back of a polo..?  Got pics?  That sounds bizarre.

.i dont think david cares about what you put on your shirts. LOL.

.I think short and long sleeved t-shirts would get a better response (sales wise) then polos.

.Id' be so intrested in coming up with the design. I got some experience and knowledge on graphic design (going 4 my BS), and I would definately be a buyer (more then one if ur doing diff colors).

Ill make a design today based off of the first post /\

How many people are requred to get in on the buy?

.Polos can be embroidered, you cannot embroder a t-shirt without it loooking bad..but if everyone would RATHER have t-shirts, i am sure i can get her to silk screen them, theyd be cheaper but also only one or two color options...

I need a minimum order of 25 shirts, but pricing wont be set until she sees some art ideas.

Woudl probably offer different colors adn as an EXAMPLE i knwo we cant use the original artwork since it was sold to B15Motorsports, but if we had somethign like that we could do...

Black Logo on white/red/yellow shirts
White logo on red/black/blue shirts
silver logo on black/blue/red shirts
Red logo on black/white shirts

Those are just some ideas...

I worked for a place for a few years that did embroidery and we never had issue with it looking bad on t-shirts.  As long as you don't try to shrink down a design to much any embroidery will look fine regardless.  Just need to make sure the surface is flat and tight in the hoop to prevent any moving.

And I assume the design on the back would be silk screen because there is no way you could get a big design on the back of a polo shirt for those prices.

And I hope that a portion of the cost of the shirt would go toward a contribution to site since you are using the site name on it.

And ANY proceeds over the exact cost of the shirts will be pushed back to David.  as you can see i am alreayd a forum supporter, i dont have any problem with giving it to him.

I just wanted a couple cool shirts. :-)  This is all just theory unless we get a buy-in and artwork.  But if people are interested...

My father is a member of a PT Cruser club in Myrtle Beach and they got thier shirts for $22 each.. large silkscreened logo on the back, multi colored. Enbroidered left breast. I asked him to get me pics of his shirts so i can show as example.

Edit:  Corrections to design.

.$22 for embroidered left breast and silk skreen on the isn't that bad of a price.  Sounds like a 100% cotton pique polo type shirt.

I would say just keep it simple....no poloshirt just t-shirt/long sleeve t-shirt with silk screen.
