rain makes my car sound funny....

everytime it's raining and there a little water on the road my car makes this weird sound and the gear shift starts shaking and the car vibrates. what's causing this?
i've already had to replace the engine once b/c it got filled with water.

.get rid of the cold air intake!

.Can you add some more detail to this. Specifics.

.i lost the cai intake after i had to shell out 3 grand to get a new engine. i don't know what other details to put. other than if i am driving under 35 mph it does't do it. i don't have the plastic black thing at the bottom of the bumper, i think it's called an air dam.

.Just a guess, but try replacing that liner for one....  I'm sure it was there for a reason.

.sounds more like a wheel/suspension/chassis problem to me. other than a motor problem. trust me, vibrations come from many other places than the motor.

check your wheel bearing, and ball joints for slack. make sure everything is ok.

.could also be do to a torn motor mount.

.hey, i remember when i had the honda dealer replace the motor he said something about a motor mount needing to be replaced and he was supposed to order one and call me, but he never did. but why would it only do it in the rain?
it's not the suspension or wheels i just had all of that worked on last month, to make sure everything was done right and professional.

not sure why it would only do it in the rain, but i'd look into that though.
