Basic Question (Pun Intended)

Hey guys I have a question about the Tein Basics. I have done plenty of searches and found a lot of the info I want but one area has not been covered that I am curious about. I know they handle great and ride nice but how are they at the drag strip compared to stock. Will they help out 60ft, 1/8 mile, and 1/4 mile times? How much if any improvememnt will there be? Thanks

.They will imporve your all aroudn performance do to the increased spring rates and dampening.

What the spring rates are over stonk Im not sure. If you wan to know visit TEIN USA's website.

.The Basics are not designed with track usage in mind.
The dampening is obviously better than stock, but will not give you drastic performance gains at the track.

Hence the name quot;basic.quot;

.I understand what you are saying but i guess i was curious about the fact that they are probably made with handleing in mind but how would they help in a straight line. Also my car is a daily driver so that is more important then .01 of a second in the 1/4 mile to me. I was just curious if there would be any improvement because i dont want to find out there only for one aplication and may hurt 1/4 mile or something. I guess they help EVERYTHING a little bit. Thanks for the info.

.01 in the quarter? when they say track they mean a race track not a drag strip.

the tein basic system is garbage... you can get much better performance for the same price or less w/ a good spring/ shock combo.

I wanted to know will i see an improvement in a straight line at the strip b/c i know thats not what they were designed for. Once again thats why I made the post. I am also not looking for a pure strip set up b/c once again my car is a daily driver and i dont care about .01 of a second i just dont want to slow myself down. Since the basics are garbage what would you recomend for a daily driver that will go to the strip sometimes and sometimes be doing some road courses. I just want an overall package not anything 100% for one application. Thanks

.gc's and koni's... you choose your spring rates to fit your driving style and adjust the koni's for the spring rates... perfection.

.i have Tein SS and love them..... i hear a lot of people talk shit on them... but im more than satisfied..
