STILLEN QR-PRO Engine Management any good?
from : localhost/www.mynismo.com/products/?id=3482
I was looking at this engine management system and was curious b-cuz I've never heard of anyone use it. A mechanic told me that programs that piggy-back on the stock ecu are bad to have, is this true?
.i am uncomfortable with only using a piggyback, yes. tons of spec guys out there only use the safc with no problems though.
the qr pro can't be tuned like the safc can, the maps in the qr pro can't be tuned, it's already set
.so pretty much what ur saying is that it wouldent be a good investment. What about the safc neo, is it any different from the safc2?
.it has a better display, mad tyte vtak controller that allow you to adjust the low and high settings, other than that it's an overpriced safc
.^^^ Basically wat she said the only big diffrence and reason for price increase is that its in color Hence quot;Neoquot;
But the QR-Pro is ok i guess it comes pre tuned so u just plug it in and don't have to pay anyone to tune the car but doesnt have as much range. Say for example u deicde to go turbo or another form of forced induction one day the Stillen QR-Pro will be useless to you and you'll have to rip it out and replace it with another piggy back system or standalone the QR-Pro is more like a Chip than a Piggyback system.
.safc II ftw! |
