Track event... VR6 v. Spec

A friends friend decides that next weekend at the track he wants to go one on one with me. i have a 02 spec w/ cai and MMI.. chance of beating stock late 90's jetta vr6?

.i have the same mods you do . guy at work has the old hatch vr6 with intake and exhuast and full suspension and he wont race me untill he gets his cams and **** he said .

.well idk now , he has a 02 , them fully bolted run on average what i am now . so who knows . whats your track time ???  i talked to the guy again today he said he just really wants to beat me and the older vr6's  put around 155 at the wheel stock , plus there lighter , the hatch model . so im thinkin hell get me with his intake and exhuast plus the other stuff now .

.if you can launch right, youll take him. thats all there is to it. just dont granny shift and not double clutch like you should

.I have raced a few and i have an auto.  Haven't lost to vw yet and probably wont.  There are always faster cars but i haven't seen alot of hooked up vw's in my area.
