Selling Modded Spec V

I will be selling my modded Spec V soon (2002 Blackout w/50,000 miles) and wondering what a fair price will be to ask. I realize that mods don't ad value to a car for sale (unless someone is willing to pay for them). Blue Book and NADA values are in the $10-10,500 range, but I would like to get a little more due to all the mods and tuning (performance and suspension) I've put into it. I was going to shoot high and start at $12k (something to come down from), do you feel people will think I am ridiculous asking that much? So I come to my fellow Spec V community for recommendations. Below is a list of mods on the car and pics to give you an idea of what the car looks like.Note: Not most recent picture, Optima battery not pictured and Hyper Voltage system removedPerformance Modifications

.honostly I dont believe you'll get what you're asking for. If stripping the parts off and selling them is an option I would do that. It doesnt hurt to throw it out there as is for 12k and lower the price later, who knows maybe you'll land a fish, unless you're in a hurry to sell it? good luck.

.i doubt you'll even get 10k for a 2002.

.Contrary to what everyone says here, this is my opinion:

If you are selling the cal privately to a quot;car enthousiastquot; then mods SHOULD add to the value.  I mean it is stupid that everyone says they should not... If I am planning to buy a spec (in this case) and mod it and spend the $ on mods, why in the world I would not want to get one w/ quality mods already put in and pay less for them (since used)?  I mean, in my case, why would I sell my spec w/ the NISMO suspension and afterarket wheels (few of the mods) w/ 235 Falkens cheaper than Blue book?

Trading in is another story.

.yeh .. im in the same boat.. i got a alot of mods too.. im tryin to sell it if i can.. I think ill start at 11k probably and work it down to 10k if i have to.good luck.. i know its hard to sell a used sentra .. next new car is gonna be a honda or a toyota for sure..(if i buy new)

.Well, when I put it up for sale I won't want to sit on it too long. I am buying a Porsche 968 and the more I have to play with on top of what I owe on the car the better Porsche I can get

I know I won't get the $12K asking price, but I'd like to shoot high and go from there, unless it's simply too outrageous and nobody will even look at it.

.Put it back to stock for most of the parts you can. And sell all the goodies you have, I'm pretty sure you gonna get at least 11k$ selling the car stock and the parts alone. What suck in a tuned car, is that people want to tune it not buy one already done, imo that remove all the fun you can have tuning it day after day.

.I would recommend parting it out and taking your loses. Most car enthusists will not buy a modded car unless they know the person. Some of those mods will make you decent cash too. Hell I want your suspension.

.bring back to stock and hope for $9k.

.I think everyone's opinions are only based on trying to sell it online.  I think if you go to ebay or sell locally to a young kid.. you'd prolly get 12k.

.I am going to try AutoTrade first, then possibly eBay (more can go wrong with long distance transactions). I was hoping word of mouth might be good due to my involvement in the local tuner community. We'll see how it goes. Thanks for your help everyone!

.I always say quot; It's only worth as much as someone is willing to payquot;.

With the right buyer you could get $15k, but the trick is finding the right buyer.

.You only know until you try but unless you get lucky going back to stock is prolly your best move. Also unless your buyer is dumb I wouldn't brag about taking it to the track. I would hesitate to buy any car that has seen heavy track time for a daily driver.

.ebay things always go for $$$$$$$
