my b16 swap install

ok guys, i started today, a lil late but i think my progress is good, i will drop in the engine tomorrow morning and i will be set. i do have a couple questions if u guys could please answer.
1- i have a jdm b16, should i use the wiring harness that came wit the engine and just add the 6 extra wires that i need to add?
2- what kind of wires do i need to buy to add vtec and all that shit? what gauge #?
3- the engine came wit a cut-off shift linkage and also wit a complete one separate. how do i remove the cut off linkage that is on the engine so i can add the complete one?*cant figure it out*

if i have any more i hope u guys can answer them, please answer this questions guys, i really need to know, thanx

.to remove the shift linkage you hatch to get a pin punch and remove the pin that holds it on. the pin is under the rubber cover.

ok, so thats what it is called a quot;pin punchquot;? one question down
one more thing,
can any of u give me torque specification on the bolts when u install timing belt and water pump?

thats what i was thinking, but where would i add the wires, that engine harness from my cx doesnt have any of the wires for vtec? so i would need to add the wires straigth from the engine to the ecu?

am also gonna add a 5quot; tach and i was wondering if u guys could tell me what color is the
12v dash light
12v ignition swith(+)
the coil on early model ignition or the
tach terminal on electronic ignition?

.straight from the sensors to the connector on the wheel well and then from the wheel well to the ecu cant help you with the tach though havent done that yet

The haynes manual carries many torque specifications.
And also, this is kinda off topic, you have the same headlights as mine. Do your halos still work? Mine went out in like a month.

yes, i dont need torque specification no more, and yes, my halos went out maaaaddddd long ago, dont matter, i might get rid of them, not sure though, i bought the leds to replace the ones that burnt out but just never got to it, so they sitting in my room

yes i do. i dont rember the gauge of wire. its the same sive as the rest of the harness so just take down a piece of the harness that came with the motor to radio shack and match it up
