Turned the truck on last night, and I my 0137, 0157 and 0455 codes are gone My trip meter is still counting?
Now, I didnt reset the truck, or the battery, nor am I complaining that my CEL is no longer on, but I'm assuming the problem is still there? Correct?
I didnt think 02 sensors could go back good. lol

They're still there jsut the light turned off. If you check them with the superchips they will still show up.
.If the light went out, the problem went away. The computer will store codes for a little while, but if the problem has been gone for so many heat cycles, the CEL shuts off.
Bottom line, if the light is off and no codes show up with the 'key trick', you're fine. Just drive.
.the codes are stored for 40 or 80 starts
the light will stay lit if the codes are there
it take at least two heat cycles without a code(problem) showing up before the light will turn its self off
and most code lights won't show up for at least two heat cycles
but it will still be stored for 40 or 80 starts
.I got a new battery yesterday and my codes are back. Still the same ones. lol. |
