Anti lock conversion 2000 Si?

Does anyone have any experience or opinions on how to upgrade the factory 4 wheel disc brake system on a 2000 Civic Si to anti-lock? Preferably using factory components or direct-fit aftermarket components. This is not for show, as in some big brake disc kits. it's for better stopping in the rain. Thanks,

.you already have anti-lock brakes.... you are just too noob to know it

.i'm guessing it would cost you around $2k + installation. you cant do abs work yourself, you need lots of vehicle specific tools and legaly you need to be certified... it's just not worth it man

it's even worse that some 5th gen ex's have all wheel disc breaks AND abs. 6th gen got the shitty end of the deal on taht one

.i have a 2000 si and it doesnt have anti lock, but it has 4 discs instead of 2 discs and 2 drums....
i ( well my parents ) used to have a 2000 ex and i have 2 discs and 2 drums and it was anti lock....
i wonder if maybe the abs makes the car slower somehow cuz i know putting big ass brakes can take away wheel horsepower but i dont really see hondas logic in it....but i know my si stops just as fast or faster then my ex just cuz it has 4 discs

.nah my cars a stick its a 97 EX... now im wondering if i would have problems doing a disc conversion... like if it would mess with the ABS

abs doesnt make you stop faster, it doesnt allow your wheels to lock up so that you have better controll.
avs actually lengthens the stopping distance

.Thanks everybody.

It is weird how they offered different braking systems with different cars. The Si cars had four discs, but anti-lock was unavailable or (maybe) an option. EX with automatic had anti-lock standard up to 2001, I think. Then the 5-speed EX cars got anti-lock as well. LX to this day has front disc and rear drum and no anti-lock regardless of the trans. Go figure.

Any ideas, what parts and or electronics would have to be changed? The master cylinder for certain... but from what car, an Integra maybe, or an EX of the same year? No way would I try to do this job myself.

BTW it was raining like hell here today. I went out to see what sort of brakes I have. I know what anti-lock feels like when it kicks in. No anti-lock on this car.
