.Well, leaving the STi aside, which is like $10000 more than the GTi, I HAVE SERIOUS doubts that the WRX can do the advertised 0-60 in 5.7sec.. not with, what, 185HP going at the wheels?

You know it is bad when people here compare apples to oranges (like the Nissan/Subaru stupid thread), but it is worse when car makers do it

.I don't see the GTI canabalizing STI sales, but I guess Subaru has their reasons.    At any rate, this is a pretty weak rebuttal to the overwhelmingly successful VW ad campaign.

The WRX is 3192 LBs.. the GTi is 3308 LBs. 100 LBs difference.  So, you are telling me a chipped GTi w/ 240WHP can do what?  5.5secs 0-60?  Let alone that the GTi stock puts down close to 200WHP (again, almost the same as a WRX, according to you).  The DSG tranny does a PERFECT job launcing the car, so do not give me the AWD advantage, if any.  Yet, the GTi is listed as 6.7 secs w/ the DSG tranny.  My point:  Subaru has WAY WAY over (or under) estimated 0-60 times.

and...as i stated before....its has the spec v pic listed as 2002 when specs didnt come in sunburst till 2003

as for the SRT-4 yeah thats true thats why i have an email addy for people to submit errors on my site.   

as for the Legacy Gt numbers. they came from 1 person i know and 2 people i contacted online. i average the numbers out. a quick search yielded this site

.I dont see how a FWD and AWD can be competition against eachother. AWD will always launch better. It is the physics behind the concept. On a side note, fcuk all vw's except for the tdi. Buy diesel, bishes.
