Problem with vtec

i am having a problem with my car when i hit vtec. i know that when its cold and i hit vtec it makes a bad sound and vtec doesnt kick in but now even when my car is completely warmed up sometimes when i hit vtec it works till about 7 and then around 7 it makes that weird noise and doesnt give it ne more power and then a little bit after 7 it picks back up.....weird does any one have and ideas on what that could possibly be or what would be causing that??? thanks

.check your oil pressure...also, just in case you havent searched yet, there have been a few threads recently, some members had the same problem, and i believe they were able to get it fixed with the help of the responses they got in the threads....check it out

.Don't hit vtec when your motor's cold, take the minute or two to warm the engine up.

.oil pressure most likely, check that first

.make ur u have 4.5 quarts of oil in there first of all

.Fuck guys. Vtec doesnt even work when teh car is cold....... sheesh....

And yeah, check your oil, make sure its filled proper. If it is, check to see if u r throwing any codes, and check the oil pressure.
