Carbon Fibre hatch cover

Hi,

I'm just checking if there's a market for carbon fibre hatch covers. I can make them to fit any generation of Civic. These will be 100% real carbon fibre, not fibreglass coverd with one ply of carbon. They will be prefessionally made. The company  I work for specializes in the repair and manufacture of composite parts for the airline industry.

I figure that I would be able to sell them for about $50 each. I've seen OEM hatch covers go for $75-$100 on eBay, so $50 is pretty good. (All prices in USD).

What do you all think?

.I think that's a steal. I also think you wouldn't be able to actually sell them at $50 a piece.

I don't think so. There are lots of companies with similer names (Comtek, Com-tek, Comtech, etc). Our company name may be inspired from another, but I don't think that the guys who started this aerpsoace engineering company have ever even heard of Comptech racing company from California.

It's ok if you get feedback to see if they'll sell well... but you can't sell them here until you have at least 100 posts.. and you can't sell them on a mass scale unless you become a site sponsor.

.hhhhmmmm if you can sell it that cheap ... are you even making a profit ? The cost of carbon fiber material and then time to make it and other materials ? how is the quality ?
