Mugen and I are constantly working together on our cars and stuff and I noticed something thatis quite puzzling. On his 00 Si, the cat and resonator are in the logical placement. Why is it on my 99 4 do' that the cat is placed so far forward compared to the coupes? Is there any advantage of it being placed more far forward? Any ideas....
.Its not sedan specific, its on DX and LX models. The cat is placed on the exhaust manifold because it heats up quicker which makes it more efficient. But it sure does suck to have to buy a header back exhaust if you want to change it. I wonder what kind of gainst I could expect from a header-back seeing as that cat must be super restrictive. I doubt it's much, but I'm still intrigued. |
