knocking noise...

im hearing a very weird noise coming from the driver side wheel. its like a knocking sound. it 'knocks' every wheel rotation, so at high speed its a loud noise low speeds its a stedy knocking. there is no sound from the other wheels. now, i changed the struts to tokico blues and put on a set of ground control coilovers. its not that low, bout an inch drop. any ideas what is causing this problem? thanks.

also it happens every rotation loudly while in crusing in neutral. not to much while i accelerate

.check ur axels

and could it also be the bearings?

.sure its a knock, and not a flatspot on your tire?

not positive i dont have a flatspot, but i doubt thats what is causing it. simply because when its in neutral it is really loud, sounds like an axle problem to me.

.If it's louder in neutral I doubt it is your axles.  I may be mistaken, but I don't think your axles turn when the car is in neutral.

.of course the axles turn when you're in neutral, they're attached to the wheels. Check your CV boots for holes, some grit can get on the bearings and make noise, or wear them out real fast.

.it could also be a wheel bearing

Think neutral as when the car is stopped.  Does it still make noise then?

.follow up. the problem was fixed. the problem was .... (drum roll please)

lug nuts were not properly torqued on the wheel.

looks like i'll be in the market for a 90ft/lbs torque ratchet for the aftermatker aluminum wheels  instead of the 80ft/lbs that i have for the stock wheels.

thanks for everyones help
