i just finished porting my intake manifold and when i put everything back together i replaced my injector o rings but now they just spray fuel everywhere
i swapped them back out of the original o rings and half of them still spray fuel everywhere and the keepers are locked in place?any ideas here guys? everything else is ready to rock and roll except i have a massive fuel leak
.Fuel injector O-rings can be a PITA sometimes, I found that out the hard way when doing an engine swap in my dads 00 Corolla. The O-rings that came on the junkyard engine(and I do say junk engine, as it did not hold up and had the same issues) were smaller than what was on my dads Corolla and reusing the ones from the old motor and the gasket kit did not do any difference to the fuel leaks. Didn't help that intake manifold was cast and unfinished, resulting burrs in areas that shouldn't have them.
My best suggestion is get a new set, use either motor oil or vaseline, coat the outside edges of the O-rings, and go from there. |
