PCM Monitor Reset

I replace my batterey 3 weeks ago and went today for a smog check and got quot;not readyquot; PCM responses for Catalyst, Heated O2 and Evap System.

I must have over 500 miles on it the last 3 weeks and probably a 100 heat up/cool down cycles.

What does it take to reset the PCM on this thing?

2002 Durango with 5.9, Auto, all wheel drive. Fed emmisions and no EGR.

It does have 103K miles on original O2's but I did pass the O2 sensor monitor in the State test.

My scanner says it's running open loop and yes it is warmed up.

Help!

.Should not be in open loop...something else is wrong...check for codes...if none, reset all adaptives and drive it... some tests will not run if fuel is above 1/4 tank or below 1/4 tank....fuel should be half full for some tests to run and complete.....

.Yup. Tank is 1/2 full right now. No codes on my scanner or the 3 turn ignition key trick reading the odometer. Never once got a MIL on this car.

I may have a bad O2 sensor. I read somewhere that the O2 heater test must pass before the Catalytic converter test can even run. Those 2 tied together makes sense for them to both fail.

But the evap test also going bad makes we thing it is just the PCM not resetting the to let the monitors run.

So really I want to know, what does it take once the battery is disconnected for the monitors to all work again?

It's been hooked up for 3 weeks and if it just needs a few more miles, I don't want to disconnect the battery again.

My registration is up in 5 days so I'm kind of playing a time clock here to get it smogged.

Wait a minute. Did I screw myself here? Before I went for the smog test today, I ran my scanner, no codes and then I hit the quot;clear codesquot; key anyways. Did that reset all my monitors? I drove it 3 miles only to the test station...then 3 miles home and I got the same results on my scanner they did at the test station....Think I answered my own question.

.Yes...if you clear codes even though there are not any...it will reset everything
