Deferring payment on car loan

Has anyone deferred a payment on their NMAC loan before?  I have done it a couple years ago but I was wondering if it can be done more than once during the term of the loan.

.i did it and they told me you can only do it once.  and i already used up my chance.  i think they bump the payment to the end of the payment term.

.they do. my credit union just sent me a coupon type thing that i can send in as a replacement for 1 payment and my payment gets pushed to the end of the term

.I did it a couple times on my loan thru Ford Motor Credit on my last car.. I'm sure if you call them and ask they will work with you on it, better than being late on the payment =)

.I actually have my payment ready to send out for this month but I was thinking... Id really like to get that HP laptop advertised at Walmart tomorrow morning.  Hmmm...I blew my chance though if I can only defer a payment once...

Rather than figuring out ways to play games with the finance company you could learn to live w/in your means.  Defer the gratification of the new PC until you can afford it without juggling payments or defering on money already owed.
