Silverstar + bluish tint

Im in the market for some silverstar bulbs, ive seen them shine and damnit they are bright.  I also like the Xenon bulbs because they make ur housings blue and shine blue almost like HID.  I was wondering if there is a headlight bulb paint that i could put on my silverstars.  Gel caps would probably melt right?  I would probably use a light translucent blue paint just because i like the blueish looking light when it shines.  Any thoughts?

.I wouldnt put anything over the silverstar bulb cause it might burn out!! if you want that blue tint effect on your headlights but want the white light output, i would say try painting it cause thats about the only thing i can think of!!! Me personally would just get the silverstar and leave it the way it is!! i dont dig that blue tint effect that those other bulbs leave on you housing!!

.No matter what paint you use, it would melt. Stock headlight bulbs, let alone higher temerature aftermarket bulbs, get VERY VERY hot. Personally, Silverstars may be bright, but I don't like the color output. If you want something that has a very white/blueish hue, find headlight bulbs that specifically state quot;for off-road use onlyquot; on the package. Yeah, they may not be street-legal in all states, but I live in Michigan myself and I seriously doubt you will ever get pulled over for quot;whitequot; bulbs. I looked up the law and forward lights may be white or amber or any shade thereof.

.I have a brand bulb called quot;Farenheightquot; .  They give off a nice white light.  I'm not really into that blueish tint.  IMO painted any headlight bulb is a bad idea.  It would prob burn off and kill the life of the bulb.

.i played around with a lot of differant bulbs in the course of owning my honda.. and ill tell you.. go HID you wont be disapointed.. i love mine.. just make sure you go with a decent quality system.. i use hella ballasts and they have been pretty reliable.. and the light output (although a LITTLE scattered) is fantastic...

edit: here is a pic of HIDs...
